The working principle of a Flash Dryer is based on the fundamental principle of direct contact between hot air and the material to be dried. The Flash Dryer consists of a rotating drum, dispersion mechanism, heating system, and a product collection system. The wet material is fed into the drum through a feed chute. The dispersion mechanism disperses the material in the hot air stream. As the drum rotates, the hot air is forced through the wet material, causing the evaporation of moisture from the material. The dried material is then collected in a product collection system, while the moisture-laden air is exhausted through a dust collection system. The Flash Dryer works on the principle of convective drying, which is the movement of heat from the dryer to the material through a gas or fluid. The hot air is blown through the wet material, causing the moisture to evaporate.

The biggest advantage of a Flash Dryer is its speed. Because of the intense heat and direct contact with the hot air, the drying process is much faster than other types of dryers. Additionally, the Flash Dryer offers high thermal efficiency and can handle a wide range of materials, making it a versatile drying solution for many industries.
